Fun Activities :)

So we have been trying to take advantage of the warmish weather we have here in Texas. As much as it is weird not having snow during Christmas time, I cant say I miss it! I looove not having to deal with coldness and slippery roads and wet bottoms of pants. I will enjoy everyone else’s pictures and videos from the comfort of my still occasionally AC’d apartment haha. Although we have gotten down into the 20s in the mornings and I need my hoodies…which I am definitely NOT complaining about!

Lubbock has so many fun opportunities for families to enjoy Christmas lights and Santa sightings, so we have been going to as many as we can handle. Bailey loves Santa, as long as she is at least 2 feet away and he doesn’t touch her haha it cracks me up. She is just a bundle of love and energy! She can throw a mean fit….(thrashing and throwing herself and screaming until she works herself up into a panicky tizzy) BUTTTTT 90% of the time she is my perfect angel! Full of hugs and kisses and sweet smiles. I really cant complain. 🙂 Although she is fast! So I have been having to make sure and stay quicker than her to catch her…all while my belly continues to grow and Claire kicks my bladder 15 million times a day lol. I am so excited to see both of my girlies playing together and to hold them both in my arms. My heart might explode. lol.

This Friday we head out to Houston to see Adam’s family for a few days, and then drive over to Florida on Monday for a Legge family reunion that has been in the mix for the last 2 years! So I am pretty excited!!! Then we come back the 29th to Houston to see Adam’s youngest brother get married on the 30th! Some really excited things coming up! I am so proud of Adam. He pulled off all A’s this semester, and only has one more left before he graduates and we start our next journey!

Thank goodness Bailey keeps me young 😉

BYU-I Graduates!!!

Today was an awesome day! Adam and Ally graduated together!!! Adam got a Bachelors of Science in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy, and Ally got her Associates in General Studies 🙂 They are both so awesome! And such a cool experience to see them walk together one right after the other 🙂 Adam’s parents came into town to see them graduate and then we are all kind of going in diff directions:

Adam & John are leaving tomorrow to Oregon to go to a rifle course until July 28th.
Celine & I are leaving to Utah tomorrow, and I will drive back July 28th.
Ally & Brayden & Stacey are driving up to Washington.
David is leaving for Russia for work.

BUT at least we all made it together for a special day! Haha Adam had some stubbly beard going on…so his tassel kept sticking to his face…hilarious!

I am so proud of Adam and the hard work I know it took for him to get this degree. Many many hours of work and brain busting classes, but he pulled it off…and even finished with amazing grades 🙂 Now we have a year until graduate school for him to take a break 😉

Keeping Busy!

So this year has already been a busy one! Between me getting more hours at work (which I am def thankful for) and Adam doing his internship/research proposal/ and a full load of classes…I am just happy that we get to go to bed together every night haha. Adam did spend a few days in Texas before school started, so that was good for him to spend some time with the fam 🙂 This semester he def has his nose to the grindstone, and I am proud of him for it. He works hard 🙂 Plus with my work schedule, he doesnt have to feel bad for spending so much time on his hw and other projects.

I have been loving work more and more, which is a super cool feeling, because I have never had a job I was excited to go to before haha. I am pretty pro status as a party planner, not gunna lie 😉 And the iFitness class I help teach still kicks my booty haha. I am not super happy about the tax increases this year from my paycheck…but nothing I can do about it. Lame.

With my calling in church I have also been involved in planning and advertising for our monthly relief society activities 🙂 It is so weird to actually be a part of the meetings now, instead of hovering in the background while my mom is in the meetings haha.

Adam has also been loving his internship so far. He is already helping some of the boys in the juvenile correction facility and learning some great tips for what to do and what not to do in a group therapy session. He has been affirmed with his love for this avenue of a career, so he is def thankful for that confirmation. I know he will do great in this field. He can care and be professional at the same time…while I am just a blubbering mess even hearing examples about some of the boys’ lives. I think I will leave therapy to him 😉

The weather is finally winter here with negative temperatures and icy roads. Our power even went out for a few hours one of the particularly colder days. Thankfully our KIA is a trooper on the ice and I am not as afraid to drive to work with it, which helps our gas for sure.

Overall, we are doing our best to stay warm and survive the craziness with our different schedules. Lucky for us, we make those moments and days we have time together worth it 🙂 I still love our life 🙂

P.S. Here are some random pics from the last couple weeks: Adam with his brothers and rifles in Texas, his DNA projects, a relief society coupon advertisement I made, and some other randoms 🙂

Diplomas and Crafts

So we finally got my diploma in the mail! Yay! I now feel officially graduated…I have something tangible! It makes me super happy 🙂

I have been applying for jobs around here and giving out my resumes…but in the meantime…I have been doing crafts! I decided to do a menu board! I looked on Pinterest for inspiration:

And I decided to do my own spin on it! It was so fun to do, and Adam helped me 🙂 I love it! I am so excited to use it!!! Fun times and hopefully jobs and crafts in my future!!

Springing Forward!

Spring semester has started with a bang! With Adam having a heavy workload of upper level classes and me having a my senior project, practicum, and last two minor classes….life is pretty busy.

Adam is taking some really cool psychology classes such as sensory/perception, history of psych, and drug abuse. He is also taking some mind numbing philosophy classes…hah well…mind numbing for me at least lol.

I have some fitness classes left for my minor, as well as a practicum, which is a mini internship basically, and then a 50 hour senior project. I have a mentor for both my practicum and project and I am really excited about it!

I am still getting the blue prints done for my project, so details will come as I create them! But for my practicum I actually have the opportunity to be on a film editing crew/team for non profit organizations. We are going to make some promo videos for some local non profit places to get their names and causes out to the public. It is going to be really fun.

Luckily Adam and I have similar schedules, so we still have some time together for lunch and a quick moment to take a breather before our next classes haha. And we are still doing our journey of health! Adam hit 40 pounds lost this week! I am so proud of him!

I am actually really excited as well for my minor classes since I am taking a fitness instructor training class. I will get some hands on teaching experience with my own moves and ideas and see how they are taken!

So this semester will be a busy busy one. But the summer ones are fun in the sun at least!

Bring it on!

So this semester has started with a bang! Between a full class load and working part time, you really learn how to manage your time! I have never been much of an expert on managing time, but I tell you what…I am now getting the hang of it! Secretly I like being busy….but dont tell Adam that…haha he sees me come home all tired and is sad for me…but I thrive on it lol. Adam has been applying to many jobs and a couple have been a maybe so we shall see! He is pretty excited. We still go to the gym together when I get home from work and that is so nice. I enjoy that time with him when we work out, it’s the similar feeling of being on a sports team and having such a good support system. 🙂

He has also been the best husband ever by cleaning and cooking alot more while I am busy or come home super tired…I love him so much!

Well, so far we have survived week one without going crazy, and I even get 7 hours of sleep a night…who knew??? Haha I also just got my next birth control shot….this should be fun for the next week…haha.

Bring it on Winter 2012 semester. Bring. It. On.

my school schedule in case you were curious. Then I go to work for a couple hours, then we go to the gym together and then go home and I do my homework! Whew! If this isnt preparing me to be that awesome soccer mom I wanna be, I dont know what else is! haha.
