Because I Have Been Given Much

Thanksgiving this year my Dad flew us up to Utah! It was much needed. I am so grateful he made it possible for us to come. Only my Mom had met Claire, so I hadn’t seen anyone else in my family since last Christmas! Plus, with everyone getting older and doing their own things…who knows how much long we will be able to all be under one roof?
The girls and I flew in a week before Adam did; it was my first time flying with both girls by myself…but it wasn’t too bad! I mean, I cant complain with it being a straight flight for only 3 hours. But logistics of diapers changing and the fact that about half way in, both girls decided they were done and wanted to get off the plane…it made things interesting haha. Luckily I was blessed with a nice couple behind me who stepped in and offered to hold Claire during a Bailey melt down, and when I needed to change Bailey’s diaper in the plane bathroom (which is the size of a closet…and had no changing table. Fun times.) Claire then preceded to have stranger danger and have her melt down, but again, the people around me were understanding. What a blessing. My brothers met me at the airport and I didnt even recognize them! They have both become such handsome young men.
We had such a blast the ten days I was there. My dad got the PS4 and the Just Dance game, so we busted it out and had a very entertaining and very exhausting dancing session! I also learned that my brother Danny has the best rhythm over all of us…who knew?
We had a bit of snow for one of the days we were there, which Bailey went nuts over. She loves the snow! It wasn’t enough for her to really do anything with, and it melted after a couple hours haha but at least she was able to see it. (And see how cold it was…it only took one time touching it for her to not fight me wearing gloves lol)
With work schedules and school, Celine and Aj would pop in and out whenever they could, but I am so thankful that we were all able to be together and be under the same roof doing fun things like old times.
Bailey and Claire had them all wrapped around their little fingers. Nothing is more adorable than seeing your brother get on his hands and knees and crawl around the room with your kid. Or lift her up to dunk a basketball (or teach her how to pull his finger for some interesting sounds…oh uncles…lol) Or see your sister hold your toddler for a half mile around a track because she wanted some cuddles. Kudos to those muscles ๐Ÿ˜‰
Bailey and Claire loved their Pop Pop and Nana sooo much. I was nervous there would be some shyness, but it didnt last long for them to warm right up.
Adam flew up in time for Thanksgiving, and we ate like kings! The Legges never disappoint a Thanksgiving meal haha. My dad fries 2 turkeys and we usually have about 20 pounds of potatoes, and 8 pies. Oh yeah. Heaven. And we had an early Christmas for the girls while we were there, so the girls were even more spoiled than usual ๐Ÿ˜‰
I was able to see Nile and her little boy Wesley who is almost a year old! He looks just like Nile; beautiful big blue eyes and all ๐Ÿ™‚ I hadn’t seen her since Bailey was super little, so it was so fun catching up with her and sharing parenting stories and being with each other. I was so happy she made the trip to come see me.
My bestie Merinda and her little family just moved to Brigham City! Which is just down the ways from my folks house! ย Lalalala!!!!! Merinda has an older daughter Tayler (who is sooo sweet with all the kiddos) and a little boy William who is only a couple months younger than Bailey, and her newest little boy Bennet who is only a few months younger than Claire haha we must be on the same baby plan. But I love it. We figure that between her boys and my girls…one set of them is bound to fall in love and get married and then we can legally be stuck together forever. It’s happening. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Austin and Rhuvana also came up to see us the night before we left. We had such a fun night of hot tubbing, smores, camp fire stories, and card games.
Plus, Adam, Danny, and I definitely got our Pokemon on. My dad drove us to Salt Lake and we hit the mother load of Pokestop heaven.
Nothing beats hanging out with family ๐Ÿ™‚ (Hopefully it won’t be too long before we are all together again!)
We are now home safe and sound and missing loved ones even more. I am soooo glad I had Adam with me on the flight home because I ended up getting stopped in the TSA line and brought to a private room and patted thoroughlyย because I had an alert come up. Umm I accidentally left a pocket knife in my diaper bag from months ago! Thank goodness they didnt catch it in Houston because I would have been by myself with the girls. After about 20 min I was able to go and meet Adam and the girls, who were super upset I wasn’t with them and had no idea what was going on. Whew. Check that one off on the bucket list lol. I am grateful for those who make sure to keep our airports safe though ๐Ÿ™‚
It is good to be home and back into the routines of life.ย The girls both had a cough and chest colds the minute we landed in Utah. So that’s been tough, but they are both doing better since being home. Must just be different air and allergies. ย I have to say though….I do love Texas for the humidity and the heat. (Feel free to flog me come next July for saying that lol)

I am excited for the Christmas season coming up and being able to make new traditions with our little family. Having kids brings a whole new level of magic and love this time of year ๐Ÿ™‚

Living Happily Day-to-Day

I feel like nothing crazy hasย really been going on in my life. I am happy with the schedule and routine that we have all fallen into. Things are settling into their new normal…so I don’t feel like I have much to really elaborate on. BUT. A few things have been pretty awesome.

Stacey and Austin visited us on their way to drop Austin off at BYU. They stayed for two nights and we had the best time spending good quality time together. I have been so blessed with such great in laws. I love them so much. I wish we weren’t so strapped in work/school/therapy that we could just travel and see everyone we love! Oh well….such is the season of our lives right now. We are making the best of what we can though ๐Ÿ™‚ And of course always welcoming those who want to visit us ๐Ÿ™‚

Fathers Day. Adam is so low key about things like that. I usually go all out regardless…but this time I decided to listen to his low maintenance requests. So we had pizza, naps, black ops, and quality family time. I still feel like I should have done more…but this is what the man wants haha. He really is a great daddy. I could not have asked for a better father for my children. Seriously. I cannot wait until we have a whole house full of children to tackle him to the ground with kisses ๐Ÿ™‚

Chris and Heather moved to Lubbock! And not just Lubbock…they moved right across the hall. Coolest thing ever. This is the kind of thing you talk about as kids….and Adam and Chris are living the dream. ๐Ÿ™‚ They moved in a few days ago and it has already been so awesome just knowing we have people we love and trust are a holler away. It brings me extra comfort for sure during the time that Adam is gone all day.

All in all. Things are chugging along. We enjoy the little things; going to parks, walking around outside, going to the science spectrum or the bouncing castle place…etc. Nothing super crazy happening in our lives. But I am okay with that. I am enjoying this day to day comfortable routine that we have finally gotten used to. (Which of course means that things will probably get crazy for whatever reason, just since I stated it haha) Loving the warm beautiful weather, my hardworking hubby, and my sweet tanned baby ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh…and I cracked the driver side mirror of our KIA. I guess when you have poles under the car ports you park under…it is a good idea to realize which side you parked on…and how close you are to it. Oops

Love is spelled T-I-M-E

These past few days Adam was on his spring break and we had the ability to spend tons of much needed family time. I love spending time together as a family, there really is nothing greater in my mind than making memories with those I hold dear. We have gone on park dates, campus dates, ice cream dates etc. We will go on walks in the nice sunny day, take drives in not so sunny days, and eat as many meals as possible together.
We recently discovered the Science Spectrum here in Lubbock from some new friends of ours, and it is the coolest place ever. Adam and I alone could spend hours there haha, but there is even an area for young kids to do fun things in a safe environment. They have an area for crawlers only, a pretend market and vet clinic with stuffed animals and little shopping carts. They have a water section where you put on little smocks to keep from getting soaked, and kids can play with boats and learn about currents and different water depths. There are so many more areas of learning and it is just the coolest. On the lower level they have some reptiles and different fish and they do animal shows where they will bring out certain animals and let the crowds touch them. They had a snake show and Bailey totally touched a couple snakes. Bravest kid ever. She is so adventurous, I love it. (Even if it will turn me prematurely grey lol).
She is definitely walking and running up a storm! I cant keep this child in one place anymore that’s for dang sure haha. She has still yet to master the art of standing herself up from the floor, but give her an edge and she will stand right up and walk all over the place before you even realize what is happening. She says some words now and they sound adorable. She says: “no” “ya” “more” “momma” “dah” (her version of dada) “nana” “all gone” and “ohhhh” (Like uh oh). Sometimes they are hard to decipher lol, butย her expressions help tell the story. She has two teeth now that have popped through and she looks like a little jack-o-lantern. But she puts those teeth to good use! She pretty much eats (more like demands) everything we have. It makes meals easier without having to get her her own food though. lol.
I know Bailey has loved spending extra time with her Daddy, she loves him so much. She cries every time he leaves for work/school. It’s the sweetest/saddest thing ever.

Chris and Heather are here visiting Lubbock to see the area while they apply for Texas Tech. Adam and I are pretty much holding them here hostage so they can never leave hahah. We love them so much and are so thankful they are in our lives ๐Ÿ™‚ Plus I love seeing Adam and Chris together with their fun personalities. Never a dull moment.

This next week is going to be pretty flippin exciting….but more on that next timeย ๐Ÿ˜‰

Moving to Utah

Once we returned to Idaho, we had 2 days before we had to be packed and ready to move to Utah with my parents in Layton while Adam applies to grad schools. He is able to start applying in January for the Fall session, so we should be in Utah for about a year. There are more job opportunities in Utah than there are in Idaho, even if it is not necessarily in Adam’s field right now. It is better than Idaho!

Anyways, so it was a bit of a fiasco moving because we didnt really have any help from our ward, which kinda bummed us out since Adam has helped at least 5 families move in the last 6 months, but oh well. Thankfully when we visited my friends at iJump, Kevin was able to come help Adam with all the heavy furniture stuff…def a blessing! We had quite a few blessings those couple of days actually. We had originally planned on a 14 foot uhaul, but they called and said they didnt have any, but would give us a 17 foot one with not extra charge. It was a God send because we filled that sucker up! Then with Kevin being able to help was such a blessing, and then the cleaning lady didnt show up when we had already paid her (which yes I was furious about btw) but they were able to schedule it for the day after we move and our apt manager was going to let them in and take care of it. We would have had to stay while she cleaned, but then didnt have to. THEN once we were at my folks house, all of them helping to unload the truck took sooo much less time than it did for Adam and I. Many blessings led to us coming to Utah and we have had many affirmations along the way that Utah is where we need to be ๐Ÿ™‚

It will be quite the adventure I am sure ๐Ÿ˜‰

Merinda’s Bachelorette Party

Warning: The picture below has a nearly naked man….but it does not show anything I promise!

Yup. We had an insane bachelorette party at my apartment for Merinda who is getting married in September! We had quite the eventful evening…but don’t worry, there were no strippers haha. We had some good food and def got to know eachother on a more personal level with the question/answers…plus we had a pin the manhood on the man poster game, which only had cartoons…not real images…so things were still PG-13 I promise! Haha it was a great night with the girls ๐Ÿ˜‰

Girls Night at Lava Hot Springs!

So my girls at iJump and I had a much needed night out on the town together. After work we all met up and car pooled to pizza in Blackfoot and then to lava hot springs; singing ridiculously and ferociously on the way of course ๐Ÿ˜‰ It was so much fun just being able to have girl time to talk, vent, gossip, etc…you know…girl things ๐Ÿ˜‰ Def a monthly date to keep with these ones. I love you Shae, Kylee, and BreAnn!!!

Good Weekend

So it has been a pretty good weekend. On Friday Adam and I went out to dinner with some of my friends from work to Olive Garden and had a great time. Then later that night Adam and I went with my sister and Lisa to the Teton Vu Drive in theatre in town. Saturday I actually had the day off so we just chilled and had some alone time and then hung out with Jenette and her adorable family. Now Sunday for Mother’s Day we had a great day at church, Adam led the music for singing time in the primary, which was adorable, and then had Ally, John, and Brayden over for dinner and to hang out. Good weekend with some good people ๐Ÿ™‚

I also sent my mom a frame of us for Mother’s Day ๐Ÿ™‚ I love my mom and cannot wait to be a mom myself.

Lava Hot Springs with the BFF!

Saturday Adam and I met Merinda and Stuart at Lava Hot Springs after I got off work. It was so cool! We had never been there before, and basically it is just a natural hot spring with several pools of different temperatures. You just sit and relax and enjoy good company while you are there. We def had a good time catching up on life, talking to a random weird drunk guy, and trying not to turn into lobsters. Then we went to a local diner for our second dinner and busted a gut from so much laughing. I even spilled my water all over Merinda…but luckily we were still in our swimsuits haha. The waitress was super cool and was full of southern hospitality. It was seriously the best night. Merinda is my bff for reals and the fact that we can have our lovers with us and all get along and have a great time–priceless.

East Idaho Kids Fair!

So this morning I went with Shae and her adorable little girl Trinnity to the Kids Fair in Idaho Falls before work. Trinnity loved just walking around looking at everything. She was a bit scared of Blues Clues and Dora the Explorer that was there, but she got an adorable little bracelet…she is def a girly girl looking for accessories ๐Ÿ˜‰ That’s my kind of girl! Haha. Trinn was nervous about getting her face painted, so Shae and I got our painted! Presh. Seriously though, it was awesome being able to hang out with Shae outside of work and kick it for a while ๐Ÿ™‚

iJump Birthday Celebration!

So iJump had it’s one year birthday on Monday! There was free jumping, prizes, discounts on packages and apparel, and tons of fun! I love being a part of something fun and awesome. I have my own iJump family ๐Ÿ™‚ There was a photographer taking pictures, and once we have access to those I will post them, but in the meantime, here are some pics that I took ๐Ÿ™‚ On the picture below with the four of us, BreAnn commented that me and her on the left look like sisters, and that Kate and Shae on the right look like sisters. Haha awesome right? We ended up having over 1,200 people come and jump and celebrate our one year anniversary with us ๐Ÿ™‚
