This last weekend was wonderful and cold. Adam and I are not a fan of the cold. Frigid cold and super heat…..we prefer heat. But this weekend was wonderful because school and work and any other responsibilities were all cancelled because of the icy roads and crazy weather. Which means that we had an entire weekend together just as a family! We took Bailey out to see the snow and when she touched it and felt the cold, she was like nah it’s cool, I will just look. Haha. And we had plans to build this really cool snowman….and yeah. We underestimated how wimpy we were with the cold and wind. So I made a snowball sized snowman and called it good lol. We did get cabin fever and went out to lunch and Adam treated me to getting my hair trimmed and freshened up, love that man. It was just so nice having Adam home to ourselves and not having to share. We were spoiled because when he went to work and school today Bailey followed him to the door and called out for “dada dada” which she doesn’t usually say. Everything is “mama mama mamma” haha. But sometimes a “dada dada” will show up, and when Adam left she was calling out to him for sure. He is such a good daddy and husband, we are pretty blessed. I just wish I didnt have to share! Sheesh! Haha.
Well, Bailey is walking! It is so crazy seeing her move and choose where to go and explore. She does laps in the house….can this weather please get warmer so we can head to the park please!!?? She is also teething for her second bottom tooth. I can tell it is painful 😦 She has woken up the last couple nights in pain, and after lots of cuddles and tylenol….I am ready for this tooth to come already! I am crossing my fingers it won’t cause an ear infection.
She definitely loves her food. Right now her favorite things are peanut butter sandwiches, peas, and mixed berry yogurt. Although I think she loves to have anything that mommy and daddy are eating haha. She will generally try anything as long as she has control over putting it in her mouth. I don’t blame her…but whew this girl is strong willed! I think we will have our work cut out for us in a few years 😉 but I love it. Bailey is so fun. I can take her anywhere and she is so friendly and smiley and thinks everyone is her bff that she can crawl all over. 😉 I do have to say that she is becoming a bit of a drama queen…and it cracks me up. I know I probably shouldn’t laugh when she is throwing herself on the ground because I wouldn’t give her my chocolate granola bar after she had a whole lunch, but I cant help it. It is so ridiculous that I cant stop laughing. She will make a super intense cry face and then make sure it is in full view so I can see how much pain she is in. Give me a break girly, I am pretty sure I invented that. Haha. Maybe my mom was right all those years ago when she told me she knew everything and been there done that….hmmmmm. 😉
Last weekend we took Bailey to her first college baseball game! It was so much fun. I LOOOOVE baseball, reminds me of my childhood and playing “hit and run” with my family. So baseball is pretty awesome and nostalgic for me. We had good seats, good food, decent weather at the time, and Bailey lasted until the top of the 8th inning. Couldn’t have been better 🙂 Plus, Tech was pretty much killin it. Maybe Bailey was a little good luck charm 😉
What is crazy is in the next few weeks both Celine and Austin will be coming home from their missions! Celine comes home the end of March and Austin the beginning of April. Holy cow where did the time go! I am so proud of both of them and being so diligent and willing to serve the Lord. Austin is serving in Brazil and Celine is serving in Japan, and I know that there are many people they have touched with their sweet testimonies and spirit. I know many things have happened in our families since they have been gone, (mainly babies being born!) but that just means reunions are going to be even more awesome and fun! I am so thankful for their examples. Brazil and Japan are going to have to part with them….because I miss them so much! My sister is pretty much my best friend ever! We have so many ridiculous inside jokes and growing up we always slept in each others bed any chance we could. She goes back to BYU-Idaho when she comes home and I am going to miss not being there to hang out with her. But that just means we will have road trips to plan 😉 Austin and Adam are also two peas in a pod. I could sit all day and listen to them make up hilarious stories and goofy things to do. They are both always up for an adventure, and you know its going to be fun 😉 I am so blessed to have in laws that I get along so well with, because I sure cant wait to see Austin and tackle hug him as well! So exciting things coming up for our families. Cannot wait.
In the meantime…..just waiting for this snow and ice to melt so Bailey and I can get our park hopping on.
These are our Bits O’ Bertoch.
