Adam has finished his first semester of grad school! I am so proud of all the hard work he does π He would never brag about himself so I gladly show him off π He got amazing grades in his classes and was sought out from one of the clinic workers to replace one of their clinic coordinators. He will be working part time as a clinic coordinator, he will be having his own set of clients from the community that he will give supervised therapy, and he will have his graduate classes next semester….so he is making sure to enjoy his holiday break before getting into the thick of things! Bailey and I will miss him while he becomes extra busy but we know that he is working hard for our future π Not only that, but because he will be working for the university clinic, he will receive in state tuition and a bonus cut from tuition on top of the wages he will be making…Which means we should only have to take out half of the student loans that we had counted on!! The Lord is mindful of us and our little family π I am so grateful for all the many blessings π
I am also grateful for the long break we get to spend with Adam and his family here in Houston. With his clinic hours starting in Jan, it may be the last decent break he has for a while.
Bailey loves spending time with her cousins! Jefferson is only a month younger than Bailey, and Brayden is almost 3, so it’s been a hoot watching them all interact with one another. Bailey and Jefferson keep trying to claw and sit on each other out of curiosity haha and Bailey is mesmerized by Brayden, she won’t let him out of her sight. It’s so cute.
This is also Baileys first experience with dogs, so seeing her interact with Maggie (my in law’s schnauzer) has been hilarious. She was scared in the beginning, but now she keeps trying to “pet” her. Maggie also hangs around Baileys high chair when she is eating to get some table scraps, which distracts Bailey from eating haha it’s pretty funny. I love watching her learn and try new things. She is sooo close to being able to stand on her own. And she could practically walk if she knew how to balance! She’s becoming so independent. In fact today she learned how to climb stairs! My baby is growing up so fast! Slow down please kthx lol.
We have been giving her some real food to try, and she loves all the different tastes, but she is not sure about those textures haha. She gags a bit on bananas and avocados and soft pasta. It cracks me up I’m not gunna lie. Lol. But once she gets it in her mouth long enough, she really loves all the new foods.
It’s been quite a fun filled week so far! We made gingerbread houses with Chris and Heather, we went to multiple parks with all the cousins, and we went walking in the neighborhood to see Christmas lights. She has also picked up how to rock out and head bang from her Aunt Ally….yeah totally adorable.
Poor Bailey Bug is fighting some allergies and teething at the same time, so she’s been a bit more clingy and sleeping less. She doesn’t let it stop her though. She crawls about as fast as she would if she knew how to run at this point. Not to mention she would climb all over Jefferson and chase Brayden all day if she could lol. I love seeing those three interact. Family is where it’s at.
Gives me warm fuzzies.
