So Rexburg has been very kind this winter…meaning there isn’t 10 million feet of snow and negative degree weather. It has been so nice! I am sure Adam is not as thrilled to be without his snow (he loves drifting in his car) but it has been very nice to not have my jeans be wet up to my ankles. Because of this, we have been able to be outside more and have some fun. In particular, bike riding! I got a new pink bike and we have been hittin the town! We have been riding to school, to the gym, and even to redbox to get a movie. Haha. I love this almost summer weather and cannot wait to be able to go swimming and more picnics and everything else that is wonderful about summer 🙂
We have been doing good also with the gym and everything. It is crazy though what I am learning about the body and how everything works! There is a reason why I had been gaining weight in the past, or had a hard time losing…STRESS AND LACK OF SLEEP. The nutrition was obvious for me to change, but stress and lack of sleep causes your hormones to go crazy and release more cortisol, which is good for homeostasis and to help your body regulate, but it is also a fat retainer basically. So if you want to lose weight, get at least 7-8 hours of sleep and make sure to stress less! Do mediation, get a massage, whatever it takes 🙂 (along with exercise and diet of course).
